I own a 8 qt Fissler and two smaller WMF Pressure cookers I like the WMF pressure cookers the best. The Fissler is a close second. Here’s the reason. I have owned/used a pressure cooker for many years. The “old” versions had this metal piece that sat on top of the lid that “jiggled” and a little bit of steam would spurt when it was under pressure, you knew by the sound and the activity of that piece on top if you needed to turn the heat up or down. Update, 6 months later and still not working properly, company doesn’t answer emails or phone! At first worked great, 3 moths later nothing but problems, ball disappeared, steam escaped, didn’t cook contents, just frustratingUPDATE: struggling with my cooker and have gotten great help, encouragement and service from the manufacturer. They replaced parts I thought were defective, very quickly I might add. I love using it, there is a learning curve, so do research. Quality product superior service, very happy I persevered.
It is sturdy and I feel safe For people making dried beans- it will make 4.5 cups of dried beans max. Meaning measure 4.5 cups of beans, soak them, rinse them, and that is the max amount that fits in the 6.5 quart WMF pressure cooker. Pressure cooking beans breaks down the lectins in it so we digest it easier and it is healthier for us. This pot cleans really easily. I have finally used a steel wool inside and it is like any other stainless pot. Looks great. Just don’t over load it with more beans than 4.5 cups dry so it…
