Didnât like flavor My husband and I were not impressed with the machine. It was easy to use and did a good job, we were not impressed with the finished product. We did strip steaks, they were tender enough buy didnât have the flavor I like in my steak. These turned out more like the flavor of steaks cooked in the oven. You have to understand we do our steaks outside on a Traeger grill. After the steak, have not tried it on anything else.
Simple to use You do not need an app for this it is set it and forget it. My interest is long cooking time foods such as ribs and brisket. So I need to plan ahead a day or so and this is an economical cooker for that. I reused an old cooler with an improvised wooden cover so I do not need to add water with 24 hour cook times. I checked the temperature several times my first couple of uses and it was always right on. Two thumbs up from the wife for my ribs.
