Amazing for the price, electric range compatible! I ordered this canner bc I have an induction range stovetop. The bottom metal of the pot is much thicker, like a high quality sauce pan or 12in cast iron skillet. The outside bottom also is dimpled to aid heat distribution from the ceramic top of an electric range. I did a 7 pint jar test run and discovered that this canner with the new thicker bottom metal works as advertised! It is compatible with electric range. Fianlly INDUCTION We have been waiting for a induction canner cooker, and here it is! Even from Presto! We would have preferred a 16 qt but this bigger version does the job.
So far, so good This canner has worked PERFECTLY on my induction cooktop for the few times it has been used – since receiving it a few weeks ago. I have been looking for a viable replacement for my old 16qt Presto canner – which still works flawlessly, but not on induction – for some time, but was reluctant to spend the big bucks for a European model.I recommend it without reserve. I SHALL update this review if my experience changes.
